Randy von Riesa is the most special 16 month old German Shepherd. We first thought Randy suffered some trauma to his face but, after a closer examination by our vet, she believes he was born this way. Whatever the reason, Randy has no idea he looks any different from the other dogs; in fact, his level of confidence suggests he thinks that he is another Brad Pitt.   This happy, outgoing young shepherd is very active, friendly and loving to all people, big and small, young and old.  He is friendly with other dogs and respectful of cats.  Just think of the lessons this proud boy could convey if trained to work with others who were not born physically perfect.  Randy's puppy energy and obvious intelligence would respond well to a free, one-hour group class given by Tim Williams, our professional dog trainer.

Per his foster mom: 
Randy is a teenager with a rambunctious willfulness.  He would love nothing more than to be your hiking or running partner.  He needs another dog in the house that can keep up with his playfulness and high play drive.  He is no couch potato. Randy seeks out the company of other dogs at the off leash dog park.  He prefers dogs to people but once he bonds with someone he is very attached.  He needs a house with older children as he can get over stimulated which in turn his play gets rougher and mouthy.  He can startle when children run around or move quickly.  He does not live with cats but spent an evening in a house with cats.  He was intrusively curious but took his cue from the family dog that lives with the cats.
